Ducati has updated its power cruiser Diavel as an early-release 2015 model.
The new bike features the latest Dual Spark version of the Testastretta
11-degree 1198cc engine, with upgrades similar to those found in the new Monster
1200 engine. The Diavel's styling has also undergone changes, with all-LED
illumination and new bar-risers, radiator covers, seat and headlamp cover.

The DS engine has revised intake and exhaust ports, with new pistons
featuring a crown shape similar to those found in the 1198 Superbike models;
compression jumps from 11.5:1 to 12.5:1. The fuel injectors are now positioned
to spray directly on the back of the intake valves rather than on the port
walls, improving atomization, and the exhaust system has also been updated. Peak
power remains identical to the previous model, with 162 horsepower at 9,250 rpm;
torque has increased from 94 to 96 foot-pounds at 8,000 rpm. The Diavel's suite
of electronic riding aids returns, with ABS as standard equipment, three riding
modes (Sport, Touring and Urban), ride-by-wire throttle, and the eight-level
Ducati Traction Control system.
The standard Diavel ($17,995) will be available in Dark Stealth, with a black
frame and black wheels. The Carbon Diavel ($20,995), which features forged
Marchesini wheels, will be available in red or white, both over matte carbon and
with color-matched frames.
